Philip Meersman is een meertalige dichter-performer die de grenzen tussen geschreven en gesproken poëzie verkent. Met een sociaal-politiek en ecologisch perspectief benadert hij hedendaagse thema's. Als coördinator van het Europese project Urban Travel Machines, curator van het Brussels Planetarium Poetry Fest en Transpoesie, en doctoraatskandidaat aan de AP Hogeschool, KASK Antwerpen, transformeert hij visuele poëzie in XR-ervaringen. Meersman treedt wereldwijd op, geeft workshops over experimentele poëzie, schrijft erover en doceert kunstgeschiedenis en experimentele poëzie. Hij is medeoprichter en voorzitter van de ivzw World Poetry Slam Organization aisbl, die de Europese en Wereldkampioenschappen Poetry Slam organiseert.

Philip Meersman is a multilingual poet-performer who explores the boundaries between written and spoken poetry. With a socio-political and ecological perspective, he addresses contemporary themes. As the coordinator of the European project Urban Travel Machines, curator of the Brussels Planetarium Poetry Fest and Transpoesie, and a doctoral candidate at the AP University College, KASK Antwerp, he transforms visual poetry into XR experiences. Meersman performs worldwide, conducts workshops on experimental poetry, writes about it, and teaches art history and experimental poetry. He is a co-founder and president of the nonprofit World Poetry Slam Organization aisbl, organizing the European and World Poetry Slam Championships.
